What do we really think? - Hunters

Hey. I was just looking through photos of me and my friends, and I have come across a very interesting fact; everybody owns a pair of Hunters. In the recent years Hunters have not only become the ultimate festival trend, but also a casual footwear phenomena amongst many, including celebrities. It is a rare occasion to see somebody wearing ordinary wellington boots casually, on a dry day, however Hunters can be spotted anywhere and at anytime of the year. So, what makes us chose Hunters over any other type of wellington boots? Is it the design? the brand? or the popularity amongst the celebrities? Don't get me wrong, I have a pair myself and not a cheap one, but after having them for 2 years and only wearing them a few times, I've really began to question whether they are worth the money?
I am really interested to hear your opinions on the matter? Can we really make a fashion trend out of something so simple and inelegant? Comment bellow and let me know what you think... :)

I got some from a car boot, and was so smug I'd found some-- and only for £5! But I think majority of it is for the brand and the name... Yes, they're good quality too, but the name, for me, has quite a big impact too... Super heritage look though!! x

I don't like them at all but they do look better than UGGs. UGGs are the worst haha!!

Thank you for your comment. :-)

I hear that they're really comfy and great, but I don't own a pair myself so i wouldn't know.
They're probably the most affordable yet stylish rain boots so I guess they're okay :)

Love these and I think with the modern styling of them these days, they certainly can be worn any day we need them without them not fitting in with one's attire. Thank you for the precious comment flower, hope you'll visit again soon :) xxx

I have really mixed opinions on them, I do love how simple they are, but at the end of the day they're simply another pair of wellies and I feel like they are a crazy amount of money for a pair of shoes designed to get ruined by mud and rain!
if I could snap them up at a bargain price though, I doubt I'd turn them down! x

I don't know what to think about them. But they are neccesary! Definitely in the Netherlands :) With all the rain. Anyway, I love the first picture, and on that picture they don't look really bad :)

I have a pair of tall hunter boots in navy that make my rainy day outfits just as fun as my sunny day outfits. I through them on with a nice dark grey cable knit leggings and a simple T and I'm good to go.

I also own a pair of ilse jacobsen short rain boots. I where these alot more than I where my hunters. I think its just because they're so unique and no one else really has them here or knows what they are. I get complimented on them a lot just because they're so rare.

I <3 my hunters but I love by ilse jacobsen just a little more
